Hello Friends,

Today marks Senait and Adjam’s* second month in Canada. Since they arrived, it’s been a whirlwind of appointments, and we have had a small but strong contingent of people supporting the family as they navigate various systems and complete weekly errands. Thank you to all those who have volunteered their time as well as those who have provided us with the resources to do this important work.

This morning, Senait was reflecting on her first two months here, shocked by how quickly the time had passed. It’s been a little over a month since they’ve settled into a new routine, with both attending their respective schools full-time. Both are thriving.

November is sure to bring about changes. Perhaps the most exciting news we have to share is that we’ve secured an apartment for the family, not too far from our neighbourhood. It was a challenging task, one that took weeks of searching. Though, seeing the smile on Senait’s face when she signed the lease made it all worth it.

Next month also marks our Victorian Tea fundraiser on Sunday, November 12^th, at St. Dunstan of Canterbury Anglican Church. Big thanks to St. Dunstan’s, who graciously donated the space for the event. Please join us for what promises to be a delicious event for a worthwhile cause.
